Advisory and retainer

Consultant and advisor for flooring contractors.

A flooring business consultant who has worked the desks. I help flooring contractors with the business itself: process and operations, the back office, new markets and the move to AI workflows. Then I make the software that runs it. Fateen Majumder, founder of Bearwall.

Talk to Fateen What I ran

An operator, not only a consultant.

Most flooring companies do not need another report on their back office. They need someone who has billed the builder, posted the check, matched the supplier invoice and paid the installers, and who can sit with their team and fix the flow. That is the work I did, desk by desk, before Bearwall.

So every engagement starts from your own data, read-only, and ends with something running: a cleaner process, a report your owners trust, or a function Bearwall runs with every write checked before and read back after.

What I take on

The business, end to end.

Process and operations
The path from sale to cash mapped end to end: who keys what, where it waits, where it is keyed twice. Then the fixes, in the order of what they return.
Controller-level work
Billing, cash, payables, back charges, subcontractor pay, and the cash-flow, P&L and dashboard reports your owners read, without a full-time controller. I work beside your accountant, not in place of one.
Overhead
Where the hours go on each desk, and which repeat work can move to scripts and the Bearwall operator. The aim is lower overhead and no new hire as you grow.
AI workflow
Where AI belongs in your office and where it does not. Read-only first, every write checked, your people approving the exceptions, and your team trained to run it.
New markets
Entering production builders, multifamily, commercial or retail work, or launching a division: pricing and margins, contracts, suppliers, freight, people, portals, builder deductions and retainage.
A new system
Readiness before a move: data clean-up, cut-over reconciliation and opening balances.
Websites and apps
Websites with real SEO, executive dashboards, job-footprint maps and web apps, made by the same person who knows the desk. See what we make

How an engagement runs.

  1. First call. With me. What is not working, and what you want changed.
  2. Free diagnosis. Send exports, not access. One page back, read-only.
  3. Scope and quote. Advisory, a monthly retainer, a project, the Bearwall operator, or a mix. Price and terms are in the quote, before any work starts.
  4. The work. One desk or one project at a time, with a written result at each step.

Questions

Are you an accounting or CPA firm?

No. Bearwall is not a CPA firm and gives no tax, audit or legal advice. I work on the operating side beside your accountant: billing, cash, payables, back charges, the controls around them, and the reports your owners read. Your accountant keeps the books they sign.

Can you work on a monthly retainer?

Yes. A retainer is scoped after the first call: which desks I cover, which reports you get each month, and what, if anything, Bearwall runs for you. Price and terms are in the quote, before any work starts.

Do you work on site?

Setup and support are remote, for contractors in Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida. The first call is with me, by phone or video, and the diagnosis needs only exports.
